Joint Sessions Focus on Cooperative Issues

Once again, AABB is partnering with several other groups to deliver joint presentations on a variety of timely topics at this year’s Annual Meeting. The associations and the titles of the sessions are:

  • American Association of Tissue Banks: “Vendor Qualification for Hospital Tissue Services” (5135-C), Saturday afternoon.

  • American Society for Apheresis: “Evidence-Based Approach to Therapeutic Apheresis” (5324-TC), Monday afternoon; “Multicomponent Apheresis Donation” (5402-RC), Tuesday morning; and “Challenges in Apheresis: Staffing and Maintaining Staff Competency” (5414-RC), Tuesday morning.

  • American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation: “Approaches/Strategies for Patients Who Fail to Mobilize” (5217-S-CT), Sunday morning.

  • American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics: “What’s New in HLA and Other Genetic Polymorphisms” (5233-TC-CT), Sunday afternoon.
