In this challenging economic environment, AABB is making this year’s Annual Meeting & TXPO more affordable by offering this year’s registration rates at last year’s prices and making available a variety of moderately priced hotels.  Be sure not to miss out on the education and networking needed in today’s work environment.

Registration and housing are now open, click here to make your arrangements online, by telephone, fax or mail.

Registration Hours
Registration will be open at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (New Orleans Convention Center) during the following hours:

Friday, Oct. 23, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm 
Saturday, Oct. 24, 7:30 am – 6:00 pm
Sunday, Oct. 25, 7:30 am – 7:00 pm
Monday, Oct. 26, 7:30 am – 6:00 pm
Tuesday, Oct. 27, 7:30 am – 2:00 pm

Material Pickup
Register by Oct. 2 to receive your registration materials in advance by mail. On site, simply pick up your badge holder and program by visiting the Registration or Material Pick Up Counter.

Again this year, AABB will mail registration materials (name badge, event tickets) to all international attendees that register by Sept. 29 . For those that register after this date, please pick up your materials during registration hours when you arrive onsite at the meeting.

**Approved Assessors attending the Friday Assessor General Session as well as the AABB Annual Meeting and TXPO will receive a $25 discount per day.

Student Registration
Students, interns, residents or fellows at an accredited college or university may register at the student rate. A letter on university or facility letterhead from the student’s medical director or supervisor must accompany the registration form. If proof is not provided, the student will be registered at the appropriate member or non-member rate.

AUG. 31 Last day to register at the discount rate.

AUG. 31 Last day to request a registration refund (minus the $50 processing fee). All refund requests must be made in writing.

SEPT. 24 Last day to make a hotel reservation and be guaranteed the AABB rate (based on hotel availability).

SEPT. 29 Last day for international attendees to register in advance at the full rate and receive materials by mail.

 

October

OCT. 20 Last day to register in advance.

Hotel Information



Review hotel map and a grid listing hotel amenities. Noted below are hotels offering the government rate.

Discounted room rates are available on a first-come, first-served basis. All reservations must be handled through the AABB Housing Bureau. (The hotels do not honor direct reservations.) To reserve a room, you must first register for the AABB Annual Meeting. Below is a listing of the hotels within the Official AABB Housing Block. The Sheraton, New Orleans is this year’s AABB Headquarter Hotel. The Courtyard by Marriott - Convention Center, SpringHill Suites by Marriott, Hampton Inn and Suites and the Hotel New Orleans will not have shuttle service, as they are within walking distance of the convention center.

September 24 The AABB Housing Bureau, Experient, will accept new reservation requests (based on availability) as well as changes/cancellations to existing reservations through 5:00 pm CST.

September 25 – October 4

Reservation information will be transferred to the hotels.

 

October 5 – Prior to 72 hours of arrival date                  

Contact the hotel directly for changes or cancellations

 

Reservations canceled within 72 hours, or failure to arrive on scheduled arrival date, are subject

to a cancellation fee equal to one night room and tax. Consult your housing confirmation for your

hotel’s specific policies.
