International Woman in Transfusion Award


2009 was the final year of the International Woman in Transfusion Award. The award, which was established in 2004 by AABB, the British Blood Transfusion Society and the International Society of Blood Transfusion, honored women for lifetime achievements in transfusion medicine and science. The following five women professionals were recognized for their cumulative record in original research, innovative educational methods or outstanding clinical practice:
