NOTES: This program is an on-line/distance professional development program to prepare individuals to become a transfusion medicine specialist and attain a certification as an SBB. The program includes four aspects:  on-line didactics, clinical/administration/technical rotations requirements that can be completed in the student’s location, professional development tasks and a research project.

Students are required to come to Indianapolis for a one-week Orientation in November. This is the only requirement for travel to Indiana for the program. The student is responsible for travel expenses.
