AABB Center for Data and Special Programs

The AABB Center for Data and Special Programs was developed to serve the data and policy-related needs of the blood banking and transfusion medicine community. The Center collects, analyzes and distributes U.S.-specific data on all aspects of blood banking and transfusion medicine; hematopoietic and cellular therapies; and tissue transplantation and related procedures.

The data reports and research services offered by the AABB Center for Data and Special Programs provide information critical to addressing the immediate and future needs of the blood banking, transfusion medicine and cellular and related biological therapies community and provide context and a historical view of trends over time.

The data and findings reported by the AABB Center for Data and Special Programs contribute to policy making at national, regional, and local levels. The reports assist blood banks and transfusion service administrators as well as those in laboratory and clinical settings to improve operational efficiency and maximize available resources.
