Abstract Submission is CLOSED

AABB Abstract Submissions closed on April 27, 2017 at 11:59 pm PT. Accepted abstracts will be presented in plenary, oral and poster session at the Annual Meeting, October 7-10.  See program for schedule details. Abstracts will also be published in the September supplement of TRANSFUSION.

Outstanding Abstract Award for Trainees

AABB is awarding ten Outstanding Abstract Awards for Trainees to deserving trainees, decided by peer review and determination of scientific merit and abstract quality. Recipients will receive a $500 award and be recognized for their achievement.

Two trainee awards will be presented in each of the following categories:

  • Undergraduate/Nursing/MLS student
  • SBB student
  • Medical/Graduate student
  • Resident
  • Fellow/Post-Doctoral Scientist

To be eligible, the applicant must be a trainee or have been a trainee within 12 months of the meeting start date. The applicant must also be the first author, who will present the abstract. Submissions will require documentation of eligibility by sponsor.

Abstract Poster Preparation Guidelines, Requirements and Printing

All accepted posters are available for viewing during poster session hours, Saturday, October 7 at 7:30 am – Tuesday, October 10 at 2:00 pm. Please follow the guidelines provided below to prepare and display poster properly.

AABB has teamed up with the FedEx Office to offer a special 50% discount on event posters.
