AABB Abstract Submissions closed on April 27, 2017 at 11:59 pm PT. Notifications of acceptance or rejection of the abstracts will be sent to the submitter of the abstract in early July 2017. Accepted abstracts will be published in the September supplement of TRANSFUSION.

Outstanding Abstract Award for Trainees
AABB is awarding ten Outstanding Abstract Awards for Trainees to deserving trainees, decided by peer review and determination of scientific merit and abstract quality. Recipients will receive a $500 award and be recognized for their achievement.
Two trainee awards will be presented in each of the following categories:
- Undergraduate/Nursing/MLS student
- SBB student
- Medical/Graduate student
- Fellow/Post-Doctoral Scientist
To be eligible, the applicant must be a trainee or have been a trainee within 12 months of the meeting start date. The applicant must also be the first author, who will present the abstract. Submissions will require documentation of eligibility by sponsor.
