Patient Blood Management (PBM) Metrics are key performance elements to evaluate the success of any PBM program and improve the quality and safety of patient care in institutions. The data elements selected and gathered need to be analyzed and converted into meaningful information that can be used as an instrument to inform and improve transfusion practices.
