What form of payment do you accept?

All items must be prepaid in US currency by credit (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or Diners Club) or check mailed in with your made payable to “AABB.”

Can I pay using a purchase order?

In most cases, all items must be prepaid. Purchase orders are accepted only from city, state and federal government agencies. Purchase orders must be on a standard government form issued by the purchasing office of the city, state or federal treasury. Purchase orders cannot be used for any online transactions. Purchased must be faxed or mailed to the AABB.

Do AABB Members get a discount on publications?

AABB members automatically receive substantial discounts off regular list prices on all AABB and AABB Press items. If you would like to join AABB, complete the online application by using the link on the home page of the portal.

Do you pay a tax on the publications?

Maryland residents and Maryland hospitals, are charged a 5% sales tax to orders. If a tax-exemption identification number is provided a tax will not be charged.

How long does it take to get your order?

Please allow 3-4 weeks for order processing and delivery. Delivery for all orders is dependent upon availability. Your order will not be processed, if full payment is not received.

How is my order shipped?

All orders within the US are shipped United Parcel Service (UPS) ground, unless you specify another shipping method. Expedited shipping is available for an additional charge by calling 1-866-222-2498. All international orders will be shipped using Federal Express (Fed Ex).

What is your return policy?

We want you to be completely satisfied with every product you purchase from the AABB. Buyers may return merchandise in salable condition with 30 days of purchase for a full refund of the purchase price. The purchaser is responsible for the shipping costs unless AABB made an error. Any book that is defaced, damaged or marked by the purchaser will not be accepted.

Online US orders are delivered within 1-2 weeks via UPS. Online Non US orders will take approximately 3-4 weeks for delivery. Expedited shipping is available for an additional charge.

Pricing

As one of the many benefits of AABB membership, members are entitled to discounts of up to 40% on AABB publications.  In order to honor the member discount price, please login using your membership number at check out.

Maryland residents add 5% sales tax. Maryland tax-exempt hospitals should include their tax-exempt number to avoid the sales tax.

  Return Policy

A guarantee of complete satisfaction accompanies the purchase of all AABB publications. A book may be returned for any reason for exchange, refund or credit when sent to AABB Distribution Center, along with the packing slip, postmarked within 30 days of receipt. Returned shipments must be fully prepaid and packed so that the books arrive undamaged (unless they are being returned because they are defective.)  Any book that has been defaced, damaged or marked by the purchaser will not be accepted.

  Course Adoptions

Many AABB publications are valuable resources for the classroom serving as both supplementary and primary course texts. AABB will provide instructors with an examination copy of the book for possible classroom application. To receive an examination copy, an instructor must provide AABB with the school’s name, course and estimated enrollment. The examination copy will be sent along with an invoice for the purchase price. This charge will be canceled if an order for 10 or more books is placed within 15 days, thereby providing the instructor with a complimentary copy of the text. If the book is not adopted, the instructor must either send payment for the book or return the book to AABB Distribution Center.

  Library Orders

In accordance with standard industry practices of discounting to libraries, AABB is pleased to provide a 10% discount on the nonmember price to all bookstores. For more information contact AABB Customer Support at sales@aabb.org or by phone at 866.222.2498 (8:30 am – 5:00 pm ET). When ordering a publication from the bookstore, simply deduct and add shipping and handling charges.

  Student Pricing

Students are entitled to receive the member price for all publications.  Students must call customer support at 866.222.2498 (8:30 am - 5 pm ET)

  Reprint Service
  For books no longer in the bookstore, AABB can reprint publications to provide you with these hard-to-find resources. You can order reprints of chapters from out-of-print workshop books and past editions of Technical Manual and Standards for Blood Banks and Transfusion Services. Reprints of workshop books and Technical Manual are $9 per chapter for members and $15 per chapter for nonmembers. Reprints of past editions of Standards for Blood Banks and Transfusion Services are $25 per chapter for members and $50 per chapter for nonmembers.
