Login

How do I login to the site?
A login box is located on the right side of the home page. Enter your User ID and Password and click on login. You can also click on the "Sign In" link at the top right of each page. You will be prompted for your member or customer ID number for your username and your case-sensitive last name as your password. You may change both after your initial login (see "How do I change my password?").

How do I change my password?
Log into the site, then visit "Resource Center > My Account Profile". You can change your password in the EDIT MY PASSWORD section.

How do I retrieve my Login information?
To retrieve your password, click on the "Forgot your password?" link below the blue login box on the home page. The link is also found on the login page. For assistance, contact AABB customer support at membership@aabb.org or 1.866.222.2498 during business hours (Mon. - Fri. from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, ET).

How do I remember my login information?
To have the site remember and pre-populate your login information, check the "Remember my Login" box below where you enter your User ID and Password. Your browser must be configured to accept site cookies in order to enable this process.

Why am I seeing a "Page Error " message?
Access rights are based on your member or customer status. For assistance, contact AABB customer support at membership@aabb.org or 1.866.222.2498 during business hours (Mon. - Fri. from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, ET).

How can I contact AABB?
Contact a specific department by visiting the AABB Departmental Directory. A link to our "Contact Us" form is available at the top of each page. Please allow up to 48 hours for a response.

How can I provide feedback?
AABB welcomes feedback on site usability, suggestions for improvement or posting of additional content. Please fill out the "Feedback" form.

Navigation and Search

How do I navigate the site?
Menus are located on the top and far-left of the each page. Top menu items contain a second, "fly-out" tier of submenus. For assistance with site navigation, please contact webmaster@aabb.org

How do I use the site search?
The site search is located on the top right of each page. You may run a basic search by entering a keyword (or words) in the "Search" box and pressing your enter key, or clicking on the  GO button. The default search queries the entire site.

Search results display abstracts of relevant content. Search results also display member and subscription content which require access permission and will prompt for login authentication. For assistance with searches, contact webmaster@aabb.org.

How do I run an advanced search?
If you are unable to locate information through a basic search or wish to run an advanced search, click on the "Advanced Search" link located at the top of your search results. An advanced search allows for more search options, including search type, Boolean searches and date modified searches. For assistance with advanced searches, please contact webmaster@aabb.org.

Where is the AABB Community?
AABB Community is located under "Resource Center > AABB Community".

Where do I find information on donating blood?
Information on donating blood along with locations of AABB accredited blood facilities is located under the "Blood Donation Information" section.

Where do I find AABB accredited parentage testing labs (DNA)?
A list of AABB Accredited parentage testing labs is located under "Standards & Accreditation > Accredited Facilities > AABB Accredited Relationship (DNA) Testing Facilities". Additional Accreditation information is available under the "Accreditation" section.

How do I purchase an AABB publication?
To purchase an AABB publication, click on "Resource Center > Marketplace". You must have a customer account to complete your online transaction. For assistance, contact AABB customer support at sales@aabb.org or 1.866.222.2498 during business hours (Mon. - Fri. from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, ET).

How do I create a customer account?
To create a customer account, underneath the homepage authentication box,  click on "Not a member? Create Account." For assistance, contact AABB customer support at sales@aabb.org or 1.866.222.2498 during business hours (Mon. - Fri. from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, ET).


How do AABB Institutional Members get book discounts using the online bookstore?
It is not possible for AABB institutional members to get an institutional member discount in the online bookstore. For online purchases, individual membership logins must be used to receive the member pricing. If you would like to place an order and receive the member rate using your institutional information, please contact AABB customer support at 1.866.222.2498 during business hours (Mon. - Fri. from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, ET) for assistance.

How do I join AABB?
To join AABB, please view information listed under "About AABB > Join AABB".

How do I access my member account?
To access your member account information, click on "Resource Center > My Account Profile".

How do I update my personal information?
To access your member account information, click on "Resource Center > My Account Profile". You will then be able to view and/or edit your personal information, including address, phone, email and demographics. For assistance, contact AABB customer support at membership@aabb.org or 1.866.222.2498 during business hours (Mon. - Fri. from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, ET).

Browser Requirements and Settings

What browser should I use?

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer® 6.0 or later.
  • FireFox 3.0 or later.

Regardless of the browser type:

  • Cookies must be enabled for authentication purpose.
  • JavaScript must be enabled. If JavaScript is not enabled the searching and printing option will not be available.
  • Pop up must be enabled in order to print content.

What screen resolution is required?
Screen resolution settings: 800 x 600 or greater

For best view of information on the pages, it is recommended to set the resolution to 1024 x 768. Most pages on the Web site have been designed to view the information on the page with screen resolution set to 1024 x 768.
