Bethesda, Md. – AABB announced today the recipients of the 2016 AABB-Fenwal Scholarship awards, presented by Fresenius Kabi. The awards for Specialist in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine Fellowship will be bestowed at the AABB Annual Meeting, Oct. 22-25, in Orlando, Fla.
The 2016 AABB-Fenwal Scholarship Awards, presented by Fresenius Kabi, are awarded to individuals accepted for enrollment, enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited Specialist in Blood Banking program or accredited Transfusion Medicine Fellowship. This program, created in 1982 and funded by Fenwal, Inc., now being funded by Fresenius Kabi, promotes interest in research, development and continuing education in the fields of transfusion medicine or cellular therapies.
