Biovigilance Update is AABB’s quarterly e-newsletter reporting on the U.S. Biovigilance Network, a unique public/private collaboration between the federal government and organizations involved in blood collection, transfusion, and tissue and organ transplantation. The newsletter is intended to keep stakeholders informed about developments with the network, including the latest information on the recipient and donor systems, new resources available to data contributors, funding milestones, and task force activities to raise awareness of the vital nature of this program aimed at improving patient safety and protecting donor health while reducing overall health care costs.
