Standards for Blood Banks and Transfusion Services 

While work on the 1st edition of Standards for Blood Banks and Transfusion Services began in 1957, the book was published in 1958. The Standards for Blood Banks and Transfusion Services is revised and published on an 18-month cycle.  The 28th edition became effective on November 1, 2012 and is available for purchase. A summary of significant changes to the 28th edition is available here.

Work on the 29th edition has begun. The 29th edition will become effective April 1, 2014.
