OneBlood
John Murphy recently retired as the chief financial officer of OneBlood, Inc. In this position, Murphy held responsibility for all financial aspects of the organization as well as communications and public relations facilities, fleet and procurement. Murphy now serves as OneBlood’s executive vice president, corporate administration, and as president of the OneBlood Foundation. Additionally, he holds Board positions for OneBlood’s investment arm, OBF Investments, LLC, and its software joint venture, ARC-One Solutions, LLC.
Prior to joining OneBlood, Murphy serves as senior vice president at Darden Restaurants, Inc. He began his career as a consultant for Arthur Andersen & Co., specializing in healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality, and state and local government.
Murphy’s community involvement includes an 11-year term on the Health Central Hospital Board of Trustees, where he also served as chair. In July 2013, he was appointed by Florida Governor Rick Scott to serve as a Trustee of the West Orange Healthcare District and continues to serve on its Board.
Murphy is a Certified Public Accountant and received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of South Florida.
