The Tick-Borne Diseases Working Group will hold a public meeting Jan. 28-29 in Washington, DC, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced last week. The Working Group will hear updates from eight subcommittees, including the Babesiosis and Tick-Borne Pathogens Subcommittee, on their findings and potential actions. The Working Group will also hear updates from the Public Comment and Inventory Subcommittees and further discuss plans for developing the 2020 report to the HHS secretary and Congress on federal tick-borne activities and research.
The public will have an opportunity to present their views to the Working Group during the meeting’s public comment session or by submitting their views in writing. Pre-registration is encouraged for in-person attendees due to limited space. Additional information and a meeting agenda are available online.
