ACBTSA Meeting Will Discuss Data Collection Infrastructure for Blood Collections, Utilization

The next public meeting of the Advisory Committee on Blood and Tissue Safety and Availability (ACBTSA) will focus on issues related to data collection infrastructure to track blood availability and utilization, along with improvements to the supply chain to boost resiliency. The virtual meeting will take place Aug. 17-18 and will include presentations from key stakeholders on hemovigilance, preparedness, inventory management systems and other relevant issues. The public will have an opportunity to present their views to the ACBTSA during the meeting’s public comment session or by submitting written comments. Written comments to the ACBTSA and requests to deliver verbal comments are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on Aug. 9.
