AABB Accepting Questions for ‘Ask the FDA' and 'Ask the Standards' Annual Meeting Sessions

June 15, 2022

AABB encourages members to submit questions for the "Ask the FDA and CMS/CLIA" and "Ask the Standards" sessions at the 2022 AABB Annual Meeting, taking place Oct. 1-4 in Orlando, Fla.

The popular "Ask the FDA and CMS/CLIA" session provides an opportunity for meeting attendees to submit questions to FDA and CMS/CLIA representatives regarding the agencies’ current thinking on policies, regulations, guidance documents and inspection programs relevant to the oversight of blood and biotherapies.

In the “Ask the Standards” session, representatives from AABB’s various standards committees provide meeting attendees with an overview of new and changed standards, explain the standard-setting cycle, and answer questions submitted by the AABB community.

To submit a question for the "Ask the FDA and CMS/CLIA" session, interested individuals should send an email to regulatory@aabb.org that identifies the regulation or recommendation of interest, the specific issue or concern, and any background information, as well as suggestions or proposed solutions to best illustrate their perspective. The deadline to submit questions is Monday, July 18, but AABB strongly encourages interested individuals to submit their questions as soon as possible. Only questions submitted in advance will be considered.

To submit a question to "Ask the Standards," please send an email to standards@aabb.org. The deadline is Friday, Sept. 16.
