AABB is pleased to introduce the field’s first and only certification for biotherapies professionals: The AABB Certified Advanced Biotherapies Professional (CABP) credentialing program. Becoming a CABP is a mark of distinction, establishing that qualified professionals have demonstrated – through a certification exam – that they have the necessary knowledge to credibly practice in the field of biotherapies.
The CABP exam is comprehensive and is designed to cover the full breadth of topics within the field of biotherapies. The exam covers seven domains in the field: Biotherapies in the Patient Care Ecosystem, Biotherapies Science and Ethics, Operations and Equipment, Biotherapies Development Lifecycle, Manufacturing, Quality Systems and Regulatory Environment.
Certifying as a CABP provides an opportunity for high-performing biotherapies professionals to demonstrate their commitment and competence, distinguish themselves from their peers, and position themselves for career advancement. The credentialing program will also benefit facilities that specialize in biotherapies and those growing their footprint in this area by helping to identify the most qualified professionals. Eligibility information is available on AABB’s website.
The first CABP exam window is scheduled to take place Sept. 7 – Oct. 17. Successful applicants will receive recognition on the CABP certification registry, a digital badge that can be used on social media and a wall certificate.
AABB encourages interested individuals to apply now to take the exam. AABB will waive the application review fee (a value of $150) for the first 200 approved applicants. In addition, AABB is offering one complimentary exam retake (a value of $150) for candidates who take the exam in the initial testing window. Those who pass the exam during the first exam window will also be assigned a low certification number, which will identify them as pioneers in the field for as long as they hold the credential.
