AABB has updated it health and safety policy for the 2022 AABB Annual Meeting, taking place Oct. 1-4 in Orlando, Fla. To ensure a safe and successful experience for everyone attending, AABB will ask attendees to provide proof of full vaccination or provide a negative COVID-19 test to obtain their Meeting badge.
Attendees who do not wish to provide proof of vaccination must provide proof of a negative PCR test (completed within 72 hours of arrival) or a rapid antigen test (completed within 24 hours of arrival) at the Meeting. AABB will accept digital or printed results of either a rapid test or PCR test administered at any COVID-19 testing location or self-administered prior to arrival at the Annual Meeting. Attendees will be responsible for the cost of the test.
In the event that an attendee tests positive for COVID prior to, or upon, arrival at the Annual Meeting, AABB will convert their registration to the virtual Annual Meeting, taking place in November, and refund the difference in the registration cost.
AABB strongly encourages attendees to wear masks when possible. Disposable masks will be available in limited quantities at registration and at AABB Central during the Meeting.
AABB continues to monitor applicable laws, guidelines, and best practices and will make any changes needed to help ensure the health and safety of attendees and others associated with managing a successful Meeting.
