Request to Affirm 2022-23 Board of Directors Sent Today

Affirmation of the candidate slate for the AABB 2022-23 Board of Directors began today when AABB’s election vendor, Survey Ballot Systems (SBS), sent an email ballot to all eligible members of the Association. AABB asks members to be on the lookout for this email and to add noreply@directvote.net as an approved sender. Members who do not receive a ballot should contact support@directvote.net.

AABB individual and institutional members will be asked to affirm the slate of six at-large directors, as well as the president-elect, vice president and secretary. No petitions for nomination of at-large directors were received and the slate of candidates put forward by the Nominating Committee on this year’s ballot are uncontested. Members are also invited to share their thoughts on issues and priorities for the Board to consider during the year ahead. There is an opportunity to do so through the ballot provided by SBS.

Candidates on the ballot this year include:

• President-Elect: Aaron Tobian, MD, PhD
• Vice President: Meghan Delaney, DO, MPH
• Secretary: Jose A. Cancelas, MD, PhD
• At-Large Director (Position #2): Delisa English, MBA
• At-Large Director (Position #3): Dawn Ward, MD
• At-Large Director (Position #4): Magali Fontaine, MD, PhD
• At-Large Director (Position #6): Phil Accooe, MLS(ASCP)SBB, CLS
• At-Large Director (Position #8): Celina Montemayor-Garcia, MD, PhD
• At-Large Director (Position #10): Suzanne Thibodeaux, MD, PhD
