At-Large Director (Position 9)

Rob Van Tuyle joined Vitalant in 2017. As president and chief operating officer, he is responsible for blood operations, biotherapies, laboratory and clinical services, information technology, supply chain, and marketing and sales. Prior to this role, Van Tuyle was president of Vitalant's blood services division. He also previously led the west division and served as chief financial officer, then president and CEO, of BloodSource. A certified public accountant, Van Tuyle has more than 30 years of experience in executive management. He is past president of America's Blood Centers and a past president of the International Plasma and Fractionation Association, among others. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Santa Clara.
