AABB maintains a directory of blood banking, transfusion medicine and biotherapies fellowship programs within the United States. The blood banking/transfusion medicine fellowship programs listed are ACGME-accredited; ACGME does not currently accredit cellular therapy fellowship programs.
The AABB Foundation Early-Career Scientific Grants Program supports early-career investigators who are advancing research in all aspects of blood banking, transfusion medicine and biotherapies. The program empowers rising professionals to explore innovative studies, strengthen their research portfolios and position themselves for future funding opportunities.

The AABB Future Leader Scholarship Awards Program recognizes Transfusion Medicine and Biotherapies Fellows and Specialist in Blood Banking (or equivalent) candidates through competitive scholarship grants. The program offers support to emerging professionals in these training pathways, with selected recipients receiving a $1,500 honorarium and presenting their work to the selection committee at the AABB Annual Meeting.
AABB Volunteer opportunities invite individuals to contribute their expertise across committees, working groups and member initiatives, building confidence and leadership experience.
AABB's Mentorship Program connects early-career professionals with experienced leaders to provide guidance, feedback and real-world insight. Participants gain support in setting career goals, navigating new responsibilities and expanding their professional networks.
