Sandy Nance will lead participants through the antibody identification process, starting with an interactive case study that provides key principles and approaches. She will then present a series of increasingly complex cases, engaging the audience with interactive questions designed to guide case resolution and reinforce critical thinking. Sandra J. Nance has provided leadership to the American Rare Donor Program, American Red Cross Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Laboratories, and the National Reference Laboratories for Blood Group Serology, Molecular Testing, Neutrophil and Specialized Testing. She is Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Division of Transfusion Medicine & Therapeutic Pathology, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She is the former Editor in Chief of the Immunohematology Journal of Blood Group Serology and Molecular Genetics, and has also held leadership positions in the AABB, ASCP, ICII, and ISBT.

Scott Hauenstein, PhD, is Director of Global Scientific Affairs at Bio-Rad Laboratories, where he leads global scientific strategy and external engagement across transfusion medicine and clinical diagnostics. He focuses on advancing immunohematology, blood screening, and infectious disease testing through strategic collaborations with key opinion leaders, public health laboratories, and academic partners, helping drive evidence-based adoption of innovative diagnostic technologies.
