Please note: AABB reserves the right to make updates to this program.

Thursday, August 20, 2026
2:00 - 3:00 PM (ET)

Presented by Bio-Rad Laboratories, an AABB Premium Corporate Partner

Bio-RadSandy Nance will lead participants through the antibody identification process, starting with an interactive case study that provides key principles and approaches. She will then present a series of increasingly complex cases, engaging the audience with interactive questions designed to guide case resolution and reinforce critical thinking. Through real-world examples and collaborative discussion, this program will provide practical, hands-on training that strengthens participants' confidence and expertise in antibody identification.

After attending this program, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the systematic approach to antibody identification and its role in transfusion medicine.
  • Interpret antibody identification test results from advanced serologic cases.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving strategies to resolve moderately complex antibody identification cases.
  • Identify the investigative tools and testing strategies required to resolve advanced antibody identification cases.
  • Determine appropriate antibody identification pathways to support safe transfusion decisions.
  • Intended Audience: Hospital Blood Banks, Hospitals, Immunohematology Reference Labs (IRL’s), Laboratory Staff, Managers/Supervisors, Scientists, Students (MD, MT, SBB), Technologists
  • Registration
