AABB Seeks Feedback to Shape Updates to 2023 Billing Guide

AABB’s Coding and Reimbursement Committee is seeking feedback from the blood and biotherapies community to help shape updates to the AABB Billing Guide for Blood Products and Related Services. The Billing Guide, last revised in 2020, aims to help hospitals understand the billing rules and procedures that apply for Medicare and other payers so that they can bill accurately and completely for blood products and services. AABB encourages interested individuals to submit comments via email by March 17.

AABB members may also contribute to the Association’s coding and reimbursement resources through committee membership. The Association is accepting applications for Coding and Reimbursement Committee volunteers through March 16. Interested individuals may apply online.
