Abstract Submissions for 2023 AABB Annual Meeting Extended to May 3

March 07, 2023

In response to recommendations from the AABB Annual Meeting Scientific Program Task Force, AABB is extending the deadline for abstract submissions for the 2023 AABB Annual Meeting to May 3, 2023.

Originally scheduled for March 23, the updated deadline allows for significant more time for researchers to finalize their data and prepare their submissions. There will be no additional extension.

AABB encourages researchers whose work addresses critical aspects of the blood and biotherapies field to submit an abstract for the 2023 AABB Annual Meeting. Additional information regarding submissions is available in AABB’s Abstract Preparation and Submission Guidelines.

To allow for this expanded timeline, the abstracts will not be published as a supplement to the September issue of Transfusion this year. Instead, they will be available online, on the AABB Annual Meeting app, and will be offered as a print version on-site at the Meeting in Nashville.

The updated abstract submission timeline is the first in a series of initiatives designed to improve the abstract submission process and expand the quality, content and diversity of scientific research at the AABB Annual Meeting. The AABB Annual Meeting Scientific Program Task Force has been meeting weekly to make recommendations for improvement to the AABB Annual Meeting scientific program. Additional initiatives and updates will be announced in the coming weeks.
