AABB Publishes Recording of First Global Transfusion Webcast

AABB encourages members of the blood and biotherapies community to watch the inaugural episode of the AABB Global Transfusion Medicine Webcast on AABB’s YouTube channel.

In this episode, guest expert Cees Th. Smit Sibinga, MD, PhD, professor emeritus of international development of transfusion medicine at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, joined hosts Quentin G. Eichbaum, MD, PhD, MPH, MFA, MA, MSc, MMHC, FCAP, and Daniela Hermelin, MD, CABP, to discuss the worldwide history of transfusion medicine and current efforts to advance the field globally.

The AABB Global Transfusion Medicine Webcast is a limited series based the 2023 AABB publication Global Perspectives and Practices in Transfusion Medicine, which was edited by Eichbaum. Each episode of the webcast explores a chapter from the book and features guest experts from throughout the world.
