CDC Renews CLIAC Charter

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) renewed the charter of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Advisory Committee (CLIAC). The recharter authorizes the CLIAC to operate until Feb. 19, 2026.

The CLIAC provides scientific and technical advice and guidance to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) related to improvement in clinical laboratory quality and laboratory medicine practice. The committee also provides advice and guidance on specific questions related to possible revision of CLIA standards.
