The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced a series of changes to the Office of Laboratory Science and Safety (OLSS) in today’s Federal Register. The reorganization took effect Sept. 13 and includes the retitling of several offices, including renaming OLSS as the Office of Laboratory Systems and Response and the Office of Infectious Disease Laboratory Quality as the Office of Laboratory Quality and Safety. The reorganization also includes the abolition and establishment of certain offices, along with updates to several office mission statements.
