AABB Members Confirm 2024-25 Board of Directors

AABB members have voted for four new at-large directors to the AABB Board of Directors for the 2024-25 Association year.

John Hagins will serve in at-large director position #2; Don Siegel, MD, PhD, will serve in at-large director position #4; Melissa Cushing, MD, will serve in at-large director position #6; and Harpreet Sandhu, MSHS, MBA, will serve in at-large director position #8.

AABB members also re-elected Dawn Ward, MD, CABP, for position #3 and Suzie Thibodeaux, MD, PhD, CABP(H), for position #10.

In addition, incoming president Meghan Delaney, DO, MPH, has appointed Jose Mauro Kutner, MD, and Caroline Wesonga, MSc, MA, as directors.

AABB members elected three officers who will serve under Delaney: Jose Cancelas, MD, PhD, CABP, will serve as president-elect; Richard Schäfer, MD, FRSB, will serve as vice president; and Delisa English, MBA, will serve as secretary. John Hagins will serve as treasurer.

AABB is deeply grateful for the contributions and dedication of Magali Fontaine, MD, PhD, CABP; Phil Accooe, MBA, MS, MLS(ASCP)SBB, CLS, CABP, PMP; and Celina Montemayor-Garcia, MD, PhD, who are retiring from the AABB Board of Directors. In addition, Brian Gannon, MBA, is ending his term on the AABB Board of Directors after his recent tenure as past president; Gannon provided many years of leadership to the Association and AABB is grateful for his contributions.

The new AABB Board of Directors will officially begin its term at the conclusion of the 2024 Annual Meeting, taking place Oct. 19-22 in Houston.
