NASEM Seeks Experts for Infectious Diseases Committee

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM) is seeking nominations for experts to join the Standing Committee on Emerging Infectious Diseases and 21st Century Health Threats. The committee advises the HHS Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response on science and policy issues, offering evidence-based guidance on public health emergencies.

NASEM will select approximately 12-15 volunteers to join the 25-member committee, with expertise in areas such as infectious diseases, public health preparedness, risk communications and vaccine development. Nominations are due Dec. 13. For more details, contact Lisa Brown at LBrown@nas.edu.
