January Issue of AABB News Highlights Diverse Donor Engagement

January 14, 2025

The January issue of AABB News focuses on efforts to build a diverse donor base and address challenges in reaching underrepresented populations. This month’s first feature highlights three organizations working to reduce donor disparities and increase blood donations in historically underserved communities. Another explores two successful donor campaigns that leveraged storytelling and community engagement to attract new donors.

This issue also includes an article honoring the life and legacy of Dana Devine, PhD, a pioneering scientist, former AABB president and mentor whose contributions have left a lasting impact on the transfusion medicine field. Additional highlights include a "Be Well" column on developing a growth mindset for personal and professional success and a "White Coats" interview with Terrie Foster, RN, MScN, on strategies for inclusive donor community engagement.
