May Issue of AABB News Focuses on Advancing Blood and Biotherapies Field in the Middle East

The May issue of AABB News focuses on the Middle East, home to the largest number of AABB-accredited facilities outside the United States.

The cover story explores the evolution of transfusion medicine across the region, addressing key challenges and identifying opportunities for continued growth. Additional articles profile Salwa Hindawi, MD, MSc, FRCPath, CTM, for her leadership in transfusion initiatives in Saudi Arabia; and thalassemia advocate Maria Hadjidemetriou, whose global outreach is advancing patient care.
