HRSA Seeks Feedback on Proposed Updates to Stem Cell Outcomes Database

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is seeking public comments on proposed updates to the Stem Cell Therapeutic Outcomes Database, which tracks outcomes for U.S. patients who receive hematopoietic stem cell transplants. Through the revisions, HRSA aims to reduce the reporting burden on transplant centers and ensure the database reflects the most up-to-date medical evidence.

The proposed updates include streamlined data collection tools, improved interoperability with electronic health records and flexibility to incorporate clinical advancements based on scientific publications and expert consensus.

AABB encourages members involved in biotherapies to review the proposed changes and submit feedback by Aug. 29. Instructions are available in the Federal Register notice.
