CMS Seeks Nominations for New Health Care Advisory Committee

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is seeking nominations for a newly established health care advisory committee tasked with delivering strategic recommendations to improve how care is financed and delivered across Medicare, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program and the Health Insurance Marketplace.

The advisory committee will focus on developing policies to strengthen chronic disease prevention and management, streamline safety and accountability regulations, advance real-time data systems, improve care for vulnerable Medicaid populations, and ensure the sustainability of Medicare Advantage through modernized risk adjustment and quality measures.

CMS encourages individuals with expertise in chronic disease prevention and management, federally administered health care financing and delivery system reform to apply. Instructions are available in the Federal Register announcement.
