AABB to Begin Issuing Electronic Accreditation Certificates Sept. 1

AABB will transition to issuing electronic accreditation certificates effective Sept. 1, ending the mailing of paper certificates after this date. Moving forward, AABB will upload electronic accreditation certificates to accredited facilities through the APEX portal, eliminating the need for facilities to wait for paper certificates.

This shift aligns with CMS's efforts to transition to electronic CLIA certificates by March 1, 2026.
