2027 AABB Award Nominations Due Jan. 30

AABB members can join the Association’s long tradition of recognizing excellence by nominating colleagues who have made significant contributions to the field of blood and biotherapies for the 2027 AABB Awards.

In 2027, the AABB Awards Committee will consider nominations for the following awards:

• The Dale A. Smith Memorial Award.
• Tibor Greenwalt Memorial Award.
• Sally Frank Memorial Award.
• Emily Cooley Memorial Award.
• Hemphill Jordan Leadership Award.
• Landsteiner-Alter Award.
• John Elliott Memorial Award.

Individuals can submit nominations by completing the online nomination form and submitting supporting documentation. The deadline is Jan. 30.

AABB will present the awards during the 2027 AABB Annual Meeting in Anaheim, Calif. The Awards Committee has already selected the recipients of the 2026 Memorial Awards and will announce those awardees in January. A list of previous recipients and citations is available online.
