Travel Grants

The AABB Foundation is committed to supporting the development of future leaders and innovators in transfusion medicine and biotherapies.

Through its Travel Grant Program, the AABB Foundation helps students, trainees and early-career professionals attend the AABB Annual Meeting, where they gain access to educational sessions, networking opportunities and professional development experiences that support career growth and leadership development.

AABB Foundation Travel Grant

Travel grant support is available for qualified applicants who are not eligible for other Foundation travel grant opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants generally must:

  • Be graduate students, residents, fellows or early-career professionals within seven (7) years of completing their terminal degree or entering their professional career.
  • Demonstrate interest and commitment to transfusion medicine or biotherapies.
  • Not be receiving another AABB or AABB Foundation grant or award during the same year.
  • Meet any additional eligibility requirements associated with a specific travel grant opportunity.

Application Requirements

Travel grant applications generally require:

  • Current CV or resume.
  • Personal statement describing financial need and how attendance at the AABB Annual Meeting will support the applicant’s professional development and career goals.
  • Any additional materials required for specific travel grant opportunities.
