The Transfusion Medicine Section was created from the merger of the Administrative and Scientific Sections in 2010. The section provides guidance to the association and its membership on critical issues relating to transfusion medicine. The Transfusion Medicine Section is guided by a Coordinating Committee, or TMSCC, comprised of elected members that ensure that the Section meets their charges. The Chair of the TMSCC serves on the Board of Directors.
