NHLBI, University of the West Indies to Host Sickle Cell in Focus 2026

The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and The University of the West Indies will co-host the 19th annual Sickle Cell in Focus virtual conference on Sept. 24-25. The program will cover advances in sickle cell disease research and management, including data harmonization and global SCD databases, transfusion complications, genetic therapies, inflammation and aging, prediction of SCD complications, sickle cell trait and novel therapeutics.
