How to Celebrate a Virtual Thanksgiving with Loved Ones

“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully,
everyone is blessed.” - Maya Angelo

Thanksgiving is a time for gathering, gratitude and good food. But sometimes, distance or circumstances make it impossible to celebrate in person. Whether your family lives across the country or you simply want to prioritize safety and convenience, a virtual Thanksgiving can still be warm, joyful and deeply meaningful. With a little creativity, planning and heart, you can capture the same spirit of togetherness across the miles.

The first step to hosting a successful virtual celebration is planning ahead. Choose a time that works for everyone, especially if your loved ones live in different time zones. Send out digital invitations that include the video call link, start time and any fun details - such as a suggested dress code or a list of shared activities. Platforms like Zoom, Google Meet or FaceTime make connecting easy, and scheduling the link in advance ensures that even the least tech-savvy relatives can join without stress.
