SCB Conducting Survey on ICCBBA Chain of Identity Standard

The Standards Coordinating Body (SCB) is conducting a survey on the implementation of the ICCBBA
ST-028 Chain of Identity (CoI) Identifier. The survey will inform a white paper exploring the benefits and challenges the field has encountered or anticipates in adopting the ISBT 128 CoI identifier.
A group of experts, including health care providers, software developers, therapy manufacturers, ICCBBA representatives, accrediting organizations (including AABB), and others, is leading this effort to support the broader implementation of this standard. The ISBT 128 CoI identifier is essential for tracking products as they transition from the collection of starting cellular material through manufacturing to clinical use.
AABB invites organizations that have adopted or are considering adopting this standard to
complete the survey and share their insights.
