Makary Names Vinay Prasad Next CBER Director

Commissioner of Food and Drugs Marty Makary, MD, MPH,
named Vinay Prasad, MD, MPH, as the next director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER). Prasad, a hematologist-oncologist at the University of California, San Francisco, runs the
VK Prasad Lab, which studies cancer drugs, health policy, clinical trials and medical decision making. He has authored
more than 500 academic articles and two books.
