HRSA Seeks Feedback on Proposed Revisions to Stem Cell Outcomes Database

May 23, 2025

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is accepting public comments on proposed updates to the information collected through the Stem Cell Therapeutic Outcomes Database (SCTOD), part of the C.W. Bill Young Cell Transplantation Program. The agency published the information collection request May 16 in the Federal Register

The proposed changes aim to align data collection with current clinical practice, streamline reporting through interactive formats and reduce burden on transplant centers. Updates include consolidating questions, removing clinically outdated items and enabling automated data submission from electronic health records.

HRSA estimates the total annual reporting burden will be approximately 52,470 hours. Comments are due by July 15.
