OneBlood Announces Cliff Numark as Next President, CEO

OneBlood, an AABB institutional member serving the Southeastern United States, announced Cliff Numark, JD, MPA, MS, as the organization’s next president and chief executive officer on Thursday. He will begin his new role on Nov. 17.

Most recently, Numark served as senior vice president of donor operations and chief of marketing for Vitalant, a role he has held since 2019. Before joining Vitalant, Numark spent more than 16 years at the American Red Cross, where he was a senior executive responsible for leading donor services and operations at local, regional and national levels, including serving as CEO of the American Red Cross Southern California Region.

Numark has also held leadership roles in the broader blood community. He currently serves on the America’s Blood Centers Board of Directors and previously served on the AABB Board of Directors.

Numark succeeds George “Bud” Scholl, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
