AABB to Showcase 2025 Annual Meeting Highlights at Saudi Transfusion Conference

Experts from the AABB community will bring insights from the most popular sessions of the 2025 AABB Annual Meeting to the Saudi International Conference on Blood Transfusion, taking place Nov. 23–25 in Riyadh.

The program will cover cutting-edge topics, including AI in transfusion medicine, emerging treatments for sickle cell disease, modern hemovigilance strategies, AABB’s updated platelet and red blood cell transfusion guidelines, and more. Sessions will also explore global transfusion risks, national blood system resilience and innovations shaping patient care worldwide.

In addition, AABB will host an assessor workshop on Nov. 22 focused on AABB standards, quality system essentials, common nonconformances and strategies for self-assessment and mitigation. The Saudi International Conference on Blood Transfusion marks the kingdom’s first international meeting of its kind, bringing together experts, clinicians and researchers from Saudi Arabia and elsewhere.
