Registration Opens for AABB Foundation's World Blood Donor Day Virtual Run and Walk

The AABB Foundation is pleased to announce the return of its virtual run and walk in 2026. AABB members and supporters of the blood and biotherapies community can  register now to participate in the AABB Foundation’s virtual run and walk in honor of World Blood Donor Day.  

Each year, World Blood Donor Day is celebrated on June 14 to thank all those who make life-saving gifts of blood and raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products. In honor of this global initiative, the AABB Foundation  invites members of the blood and biotherapies community to walk, run, roll or pedal a 1-mile or 5K distance anytime between May 14 and June 14.  

By taking part, participants will help support the AABB Foundation’s efforts to fund scientific research that advances treatments and care for patients and donors throughout the world.  

Registration is open now, with options for both individuals and teams. Participants are encouraged to sign up early, build their teams, and prepare to take part in this month-long campaign of awareness and impact.
