AABB Foundation's World Blood Donor Day Virtual Run and Walk Continues Through Sunday

The AABB Foundation invites members and supporters of the blood and biotherapies community to participate in its virtual run and walk in honor of World Blood Donor Day. Individuals and teams can register now and participate through Sunday.

Each year, World Blood Donor Day is celebrated on June 14 to thank all those who make life-saving gifts of blood and raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products. In honor of this global initiative, the AABB Foundation  invites members of the blood and biotherapies community to walk, run, roll or pedal a 1-mile or 5K distance by Sunday.

By taking part, participants help support the AABB Foundation’s efforts to fund scientific research that advances treatments and care for patients and donors throughout the world.  

Registration remains open, with options for both individuals and teams. Participants are encouraged to join the event, share their progress and help raise awareness of the importance of blood donation.
