The BEST Collaborative is conducting an international survey to assess the impact of discontinued or end-of-support cell processing and cryopreservation devices on cord blood banks and cell therapy laboratories.
The survey focuses on devices such as the Sepax 2, Smart-Max and COBE 2991, which are widely used across the field. Results will help identify common operational, regulatory and financial challenges, as well as potential mitigation strategies and unmet needs.
The survey is intended for cord blood banks and cell therapy laboratories supporting hematopoietic cell transplantation and/or advanced therapy medicinal product manufacturing. Participating organizations are asked to submit one response per institution.
The survey takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete and will remain open through July 6. Those with questions may be contact Jesús Fernández Sojo, MD, PhD, via email.
