The AABB Foundation is pleased to announce the commencement of new travel grants designed to support the development of future leaders and innovators in transfusion medicine and biotherapies through funding travel to the AABB Annual Meeting for selected candidates.
The new grants programs will provide financial assistance to help students, trainees and early-career professionals attend the AABB Annual Meeting, where they gain access to educational sessions, networking opportunities and professional development experiences that support career growth and leadership development.
The first of the new grants is the AABB Foundation Travel Grant, which is available for qualified applicants who are not eligible for other Foundation travel grant opportunities. The second is the Dennis J. Hlavinka Travel Grant, named in honor of a pioneering biomedical engineer whose innovations advanced blood safety and component collection, which supports Annual Meeting travel for early-career biomedical engineers developing innovative solutions to advance patient and donor care.
Individuals interested in these travel grants are invited to apply now through July 31.
