FDA to Host Workshop on Next-Generation Sequencing for Adventitious Agent Detection

The Food and Drug Administration's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research will host a virtual scientific public workshop Sept. 23 to discuss the use of next-generation sequencing (NGS) for adventitious agent detection in biological products.

The workshop will bring together experts and stakeholders to evaluate the readiness of NGS technologies for routine use, identify implementation challenges and discuss opportunities to accelerate regulatory adoption.

Registration is complimentary but required for participation.
