Webinar to Highlight AABB and ICTMG Platelet Transfusion Guidelines

Canadian Blood Services will host a webinar Sept. 29 on the 2025 AABB and ICTMG International Clinical Practice Guidelines for Platelet Transfusion as part of its “Breakthroughs in Blood” series. Lead author Ryan Metcalf, MD, CQA, of University of Utah Health and ARUP Laboratories, will present the guidelines, which provide recommendations for platelet transfusion in patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions. A panel discussion will follow the presentation.
